I hate the fact that a lot of people don't cosplay in public when they want to because of other people. People think that it's embarrasing to be around them, and why? Because they're dressed differently than other people? Because they're being what they want to be while everyone else just fulfills society's need of everyone to be "normal"? I don't think it makes much sense, and the fact that many people are kept from being themselves bothers me. I know this happens because my friend isn't supported in her love of anime, and people on YouTube commented on cosplay videos that they're parents would keep them from cosplaying in public. People like me are even made fun of for doing this at school. Why? Because I'm different then they are. That's why. This just doesn't seem fair to me. If you feel the same, feel free to comment.
